Before You Consider the Injection or the Surgery ~
Read This First

By Claire Vally ~ Transformational Health Consultant

You did not fail the diet.
The diet failed to ask what your body actually needed.

Because when another attempt does not work ~ or the weight returns ~ you do not sit there thinking, my body has failed me.
You think: I did not do enough. I should have been stricter. What could I have done differently this time?

And when you have already tried everything you know how to try, the options available begin to feel increasingly drastic. Another restrictive plan. A medication delivered by injection. Perhaps even a surgical procedure.

Not because you want an extreme solution. But because you are reaching the point where you no longer know what else to do.

I have never met a woman who did not try hard enough.

I have met so many women who were never shown the right thing to try.

That is the conversation I believe needs to happen before you make your next decision: what does your body actually need ~ and what has been missing from every plan you have followed before?

The sequencing problem nobody talks about

There is a reason results often do not last. And it is simpler than most people realise.

Most weight loss solutions are designed to deliver a result. Very few are designed to build the conditions that allow the body to hold that result once it arrives.

And here is the part worth sitting with quietly.

The weight did not arrive overnight. It built slowly, over time, through stress and disrupted sleep and busy seasons and life moving faster than anyone planned for. The body was responding, layer by layer, to the conditions it was living inside.

So the idea that those patterns can be undone in twelve weeks ~ or dissolved by an injection, or removed by a procedure ~ is worth examining honestly. Not with judgment. With curiosity.

Because the body returns to what it knows. And if what it knows has never changed, the result ~ however it was achieved ~ often does not last.

This is not failure. It is a sequencing problem. The result arrived before the foundation was ever laid.

There is something else worth naming here too. Many women who come to me describe the same experience ~ trying one approach, then another, then another, each time with genuine commitment, each time hoping this will be the one that finally works. What most people do not realise is that constant switching creates its own problem. Every time we abandon one approach and leap to something completely different, we place additional stress on our nervous system. We never give any single thing enough time and consistency to show us what it is actually capable of. We mistake the discomfort of patience for evidence that something is not working.

The weight took years to build. The patterns underneath it took even longer. Sustainable change does not move at the speed we wish it would ~ and that is not a flaw in the process. It is simply how the body works.

On medical interventions ~
a balanced conversation

This is not a judgment of anyone who has considered, or chosen, a medical route. These are deeply personal decisions, and for some women, certain interventions have been genuinely helpful. Nobody should be made to feel ashamed for exploring every option available to them.

But there are things worth understanding before that decision is made.

Weight management medications, including injectable treatments that have become widely discussed in recent years, work partly by altering the signals involved in appetite and hunger. They are being suggested with increasing frequency by medical professionals, often as an early intervention rather than a last resort. For some women they produce meaningful results. They can also produce significant side effects ~ including disrupted digestion, poor sleep, and uncomfortable physical symptoms that vary considerably from person to person.

What they often cannot do is address the patterns, habits and rhythms that existed before the medication began.

And when the medication stops ~ which for many women it eventually does ~ those patterns are still there. Unchanged. Waiting.

Bariatric surgery and similar procedures can also produce significant results for some people, and for some those results are long lasting. They are also major medical interventions requiring careful assessment, long term follow up and an ongoing commitment to nutrition and lifestyle. Without the habits and rhythms to support the change, some women find that over time the body gradually returns toward familiar patterns ~ because the foundation that would have held the result was never built alongside it.

Neither route should be dismissed. These are decisions that belong to each woman and her medical team.

My concern ~ and the reason I am writing this ~ is simply that no intervention removes the need to understand the individual body, the patterns she carries and the life she returns to every day.

What this can look like in practice

One of my clients came to me having already tried more than most people realise is possible ~ various approaches over many years, each one followed seriously, each one eventually proving unsustainable for her specific body and life. She had already decided that surgery was not a route she wanted to explore. She had heard enough from others to know that an irreversible procedure, without the foundations to support what followed, was not the answer she was looking for.

Her aim was honest and straightforward. She wanted to get healthier. And she wanted to lose the weight she had spent years gaining ~ slowly, safely, and in a way that would last.

She is diabetic. Her medical team, following standard practice, suggested an injectable medication to help accelerate weight loss alongside her existing treatment. This was not something she had sought out. It was recommended to her in good faith by the professionals caring for her, and she followed that guidance responsibly.

What followed was several months of trying. There was some weight loss. But alongside it came significant side effects ~ severe constipation that affected her for days at a time, disrupted sleep, and persistent pain. These were not mild inconveniences. They were a consistent, exhausting feature of her daily life throughout the entire period she was on the medication.

The neuropathy she had been living with in her feet and legs, which had been present before the medication, did not improve while she was taking it. Exercise, which she had wanted to build into her life, became something her body could not manage during this period.

The patterns underneath everything ~ the way she had been eating, the rhythms her days had built around food and movement and rest ~ had not changed at all. The medication had not touched them. And because of that, the weight loss stalled.

When she decided to stop, she could not simply stop. She had to spend an additional month carefully weaning off the medication before her body could adjust. When it was over, the side effects eased. And the patterns were still exactly as they had been.

She came to me after that. Not in crisis. Simply ready, in her own time, to try something different ~ something that might finally help her understand what her body had actually been asking for.

What happened over the months that followed was not dramatic. It was quiet and consistent and real.

She began to notice the patterns that had been shaping her health for years without her fully registering them. The way she had been eating throughout the day ~ reaching for things she had always considered fine, even healthy, without realising how consistently and automatically she was doing it. The pattern had been there for years. She simply had never had the conditions to see it clearly before.

Once she could see it, she could choose differently. Not because she was told to stop. Because she finally understood what her body had been asking for in those moments.

She also began to move ~ not in the way she had imagined movement needed to look, but in short bursts of activity woven into her day, both standing and sitting. Something she had never previously considered. Something her body could actually accommodate. And something she has been building on consistently ever since.

The neuropathy in her feet, which the injectable had not touched, began to respond to this daily gentle movement. And her insulin ~ which she had been taking at 20 units twice daily ~ has reduced to 15 units twice daily.

That is not a cosmetic result. That is her body responding to being given what it actually needed, consistently, over time.

"You start to actually see your transformation ~ not in a comparative way, in a reflection way. You start to say, yes, that is me too. I had not actually focused on that before."

A Rhythm Circle member

"There is no shortcut to this. You have to learn. It is just learning a few basics and keeping on that path. Even if someone came up with something new now, I would rather go for the slower but more sensible option ~ knowing I am looking after myself and my health."

A Rhythm Circle member

She is still learning something new about herself every week. And she would not trade that for a faster result.

This is not a promise of what will happen for you. It is a possibility of what becomes available when someone finally stops being given solutions and starts being helped to understand their own patterns.

A word on education ~
and why it never ends

Over more than a decade of deep study ~ including certified training in functional blood analysis, genetics and DNA-based nutrition, master personal training, nutrition and health correction ~ the thing I have learned most consistently is that there is always more to learn.

The body is not a pyramid you can reach the top of and declare finished. You start at the point. And the more you understand, the more you realise how vast and how individual this subject truly is.

No two women I have worked with have needed exactly the same thing. Because no two bodies have lived the same life, carried the same pressures or responded to the same conditions in the same way.

That is why generic programmes so often fall short. Not because they are poorly designed. Because they were designed for a version of you that does not quite exist.

What Foundations is

This is why I created Foundations.

Not another plan to follow. Not another set of rules to maintain until life becomes too full to sustain them.

Foundations is a six-week experience designed to do the one thing most weight loss solutions skip entirely ~ give you the understanding you need before asking your body to change.

Over those six weeks you will stop being confused by the noise. You will stop wondering whether everything is healthy or nothing is. You will begin to understand what is actually healthy for your specific body ~ and why the results you have had before did not stick, often because the approach you followed was not giving your body the micronutrients and the conditions it specifically needed.

You will leave with clarity. With a practical direction that is built around your body and your life. And with the ability to finally stop guessing.

Alongside the six weeks of Foundations, you will also be part of The Rhythm Circle ~ the live weekly membership community where patterns become visible, questions get answered and the women around you become part of how the learning lands.

There is something that tends to surprise people when they arrive here. Consistency ~ when it is finally working ~ feels almost boring. You wake up and do the same things. You show up for the same small promises. Nothing dramatic happens. And that steadiness, that absence of drama, is exactly how you know it is working. Because your body is no longer waiting for the next disruption. It is simply living inside a Rhythm it has finally learned to trust.

Foundations gives you the knowledge and the direction. The Circle gives you the place to live it.
