When I was building The V.A.L.L.Y.™ Rhythm, I kept asking myself one question.
Not what results do I want my clients to get. Not how quickly can they lose the weight or feel better in their body.
The question I kept returning to was this: how do I want them to feel in the years after we work together?
Because I had seen the pattern too many times. Someone loses the weight. Feels incredible for a few months. Starts to believe this time is different. Then slowly, quietly, almost without noticing ~ the results begin to unravel. The weight returns. The confidence disappears. The habits that felt so solid start slipping. They are back where they started, convinced the problem is them.
It is not them. It never was.
Within two years of completing a weight loss programme, more than half of people have regained the weight they lost. Within five years, that figure rises to around 80 percent.
This is not a failure of willpower. It is a failure of foundation.
Most programmes are built around one assumption ~ that if you give someone the right information, the right meal plan, the right exercise routine, they will follow it and sustain the result. The problem is that information without identity change is temporary. The body returns to what feels familiar. The old patterns reassert themselves. The nervous system, never truly addressed, defaults back to survival mode.
Lasting change requires something deeper than a plan. It requires the kind of internal shift that makes the new way of living feel like the natural one ~ not something you are white-knuckling your way through indefinitely.
Recently, someone I worked with six years ago sent me a message out of nowhere.
She said she was so happy to hear from me. That I was her first mentor to help her get back on track. That she loves herself now. That her energy is reflecting in her children.
Six years. No regain. No return to the cycle. Just a woman who changed ~ and stayed changed ~ and whose transformation has quietly rippled into the next generation.
She did not mention her weight. She talked about loving herself. About her energy living in her children. That is what lasting transformation actually looks like.
What we worked on together was never primarily about weight. It was about identity ~ about shifting the internal story from someone who struggles with their health to someone who simply lives differently now. About building a rhythm that felt genuinely sustainable rather than something imposed from the outside.
When the identity shifts, the habits follow naturally. When the nervous system feels safe and steady, the body stops fighting the process. When someone understands their own patterns rather than just following someone else's rules, the results become theirs to keep.
This is the work The V.A.L.L.Y.™ Rhythm is built around. Not the result that looks impressive on a before-and-after photo. The result that is still there six years from now ~ quietly, steadily, without effort, because it has become part of who you are.
If you have lost weight before and watched it return, the question is not what did I do wrong. The question is what was never truly addressed in the first place.
The plan was probably fine. The information was probably accurate. What was missing was the foundation underneath ~ the identity, the nervous system regulation, the internal shift that makes change permanent rather than temporary.
That is the gap. That is what changes everything.
Health does not stabilise through intensity. The body stabilises through rhythm.
If this resonates and you are ready to work on the foundations rather than start another plan, I would love to talk.
